LADIESFUND® was established in 2007 by Dawood Global Foundation as an initiative to provide financial security to women and to promote and train women entrepreneurs. It aims to integrate the entrepreneurial needs based on the economic and social aspects of the local communities, with respect to greater women participation in the workforce.
LADIESFUND® has grown tremendously and has become the leading resource in Pakistan and internationally with regard to Pakistani women professionals and entrepreneurs. LADIESFUND® is currently being registered in Canada and the USA.
Dawood Global Foundation is audited by Ernst Young Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder and funds raised from LADIESFUND® events are tax exempt and go toward LADIESFUND® Fellowships & Scholarships as well as women development initiatives.
Our partnerships have now grown to include over 100 organizations including multi-nationals (Unilever, Nokia, DuPont, Johnson & Johnson, et al.), financial institutions (Khushhalibank Ltd., First Women Bank Ltd., NAFA, HBL Asset Management, et al.) SMEs (Raintree Spa, HobNob Cafe, Canvas Art Gallery, et al.), institutions (Karachi Stock Exchange, SECP, HEC, Women’s Chamber of
Commerce, CIPE et al.), educational institutions (IBA, Iqra, IoBM, HBS/All World, et al.), Consulates (Swiss, US, British, Turkish et al.), foundations (Cherie Blair Foundation, Google Foundation, et al.) and so forth.
This blog explores different ways in which women connect with money including how most women interact with money very differently than men do.
